OUR JEWELRY

What type of karat gold do you sell?

14 karat solid gold should be the standard that you deserve. Here at Lineage Jewelry, our products are mainly 14 karat Italian, solid gold - unless otherwise stated in our descriptions.

With that knowledge in mind, you can confidently shop at our store knowing our products will not tarnish, irritate your skin, or change your skin color. We carry a ton of pride in carrying quality products. After all, our whole mission is to source our best products for them to be passed down from generation to generation.

What are the differences and benefits between solid gold and hollow gold?

Many people do not understand the differences of solid gold and hollow gold when making a purchase - and that's why we're here to explain it to you!

Solid gold is offered in varieties of karats - ranging from 10k, 14k, 18k, and 24k gold. The piece itself is entirely made of gold with absolutely no gold plating, no pressure-bonding, and no hollow spaces in between. This makes solid gold a great option for an individual who wants to wear their jewelry everyday - as it holds a higher durability than hollow gold. Although pricier, it holds a great value for personal or investment use. Consider our solid gold pieces if you are searching for the following:

  • Completely solid, no gold plating or empty spaces whatsoever
  • No tarnishing, skin irritation, or color-changing skin
  • Offered in 10k, 14k, 18k, and 24k
  • Highly durable with the proper care

On the other hand, hollow gold is offered in karats ranging from 10k, 14k, and 18k. The piece contains empty space within the inside - hence the name 'hollow'. With this in mind, continuous wear of hollow gold can have your piece be easily dented or damaged if you aren't careful. Hollow gold is the more inexpensive option, if you are looking to buy the same, still spectacular pieces at a budget! Consider our hollow gold pieces if you are searching for the following:

  • Beautiful pieces at a fraction of the price
  • No tarnishing, skin irritation, or color-changing skin
  • Offered in 10k, 14k, and 18k
  • Lightweight pieces for everyday comfortability

What is the difference between cubic zirconia stones and diamonds?

As you may have observed, we offer a majority of jewelry containing cubic zirconia stones. The biggest difference between cubic zirconia stones and diamonds are that diamond stones are natural. This means that a diamond is naturally grown, with a chemical composition that contains pure carbon. When comparing a diamond to a cubic zirconia stone, a diamond can be significantly more expensive - ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars.

On the flip side, cubic zirconia stones are synthetic. This means that cubic zirconia stones contain zero carbon. Although this may be the case, there is nothing wrong with buying a piece with cubic zirconia! If you're looking for an inexpensive stone that is still shiny, beautiful, and timeless, a cubic zirconia piece may be a better choice for your wallet. With the proper cleaning and care given to your jewelry, cubic zirconia stones will not dull.
